Cautionary Tales for Children
Reimagining Hilarie Belloc's 'Cautionary Tales for Children' - a collection of stories telling the misfortune of mischievous children - from Jim being eaten by a lion, to George suffering after popping his balloon!
This project was about bringing vintage stories to a new audience, using a playful style to provide a giggle at the twisted fates the children meet for their misbehaviours.
This was a second-year university project, completed in a group of five. I was responsible for the illustration with Holly Laidler - building the colour palette, quirky illustrations and unique layouts to tell the story.
